There was a time when I was trapped!

It was dark! There was no one and it was all just pitch black darkness…

Everything was unclear and I had no idea where I was.

I couldn’t even remember how I got there.

In that space which was getting cramped day by day, surprisingly…

I was never ever scared.

There was this one sound that soothed my heart.

It felt safe! It was warm… It was things that I had never felt before.

At that moment of time, emotions were an unknown realm to me and everything I experienced was weird, vague and extreme.

Then one day… I heard that voice again!

Screaming and Screaming in anguish and pain as if her world was breaking down!

Yet even in that pain and anguish all she did was push and push…

Until I got sucked out of that darkness and for the very first time in my life, I saw light!

It was extremely blur and bright and I could barely see anything right.

My eyes burning and my heart filled with anxiety…

That’s when unfamiliar hands touched me!

I was scared and anxious that something bad is about to happen and it did!

Something was cut and it hurt! It hurt like hell!

It was as if hell had showed its wrath on me…

Yet, all I could do was scream in pain hopelessly.

But that’s when I heard her soothing voice again and

all of a sudden, all that pain vanished into thin air.

After that my memories were vague.

Still there was this one moment that particularly stood out.

It was the moment when she first time touched me.

She held me extremely close and whispered something in my ear.

All those days in darkness, it was her voice that made me feel this warmth.

And today, for the very first time… those whispers were so crystal clear.

That’s when I learnt what love was…

That’s when I learnt what a mother was!
