We have become so accustomed with the organized and systematic world that we fail to realise the powers our brain possesses. We have become lazy. Our brains have become lazier. We have lost the capability of processing and generating our own ideas, the machine of creativity has rusted. The reason of the rust is because we do not use that part of the brain anymore. We are provided with information, we process it by the standards provided to us and the output is based on what they require. Throughout the whole process, there is no contribution of the creative aspect of your brain.

When we were kids, we often asked questions out of curiosity. As we grew up, when we were getting closer to the answers, we stopped asking questions. This is the aging of your brain. As kids, we always dreamt of things that might seem impossible, like superpowers and superheroes.

Comics played an important role in bringing out that creativity element, the feeling of ‘wow’. With the birth of superhero team Fantastic four, Stan Lee’s comical adventure began. Stan Lee gave life to some of the most popular characters like Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor and X-men.

This humorous man showed his presence in the MARVEL movies as well, by being a part of the movie for a few seconds to few minutes. He also wrote few of the dialogues or slogans in the movie. Following are a few of his quotes:

  • “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.”
  • “Excelsior!”
  • “Your humans slaughter each other because of the color of your skin, or your faith or your politics -- or for no reason at all -- too many of you hate as easily as you draw breath." - Magneto
  • “And now, until we meet again, may the blessings of Asgard be showered upon you!”
  • “There must always be those with the fire of rebellion in their blood! There must always be those who will dare to fight an unbeatable enemy! Only thus can the race of man remain strong and fearless!”

Lee met with the loss of his wife Joan in July 2017. He suffered irregular heartbeat and was hospitalised for a short duration. Lee then resumed with the making of Marvel’s turned out blockbuster Black Panther which has taken new records. At the age of 95, Stan Lee was an example that age and circumstances cannot stop from making a man reach his goal.

Stan Lee was an inspiration to all of us. He created a universe so wonderful and perfect, that lifelong friendships were forged in the hearth of his creations. There is no denying that he was one of the greatest artists that lived. People who worked with him were the luckiest bunch, and they all agree that he was indeed the warmest person. He affected the lives of innumerable people in ways he probably never would have imagined. And we all thank him. May his soul Rest in Peace.
