There are so many movies based on travel. Following is a list of six English movies that will inspire you to travel:

1. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

I have seen this movie quite a few times, but every time I watch it, I like it even more. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is about a regular person named Walter Mitty who hates his mundane job. A silly confusion on his end leads him to an adventurous trip in which he turns his desires into realities.

2. Before Sunrise

This brilliant 20th-century movie is an all-time classic. It is about two young people, belonging to opposite genders, who meet on a train in Europe. The just spend one night together, perambulating in Vienna, but before they realize, they develop feelings for each other. Watch it know what it is like to fall in love while travelling.

3. Into The Wild

Into The Wild has inspired more people to travel (backpack?) than any other movie. Based on a true story, Into The Wild is about the story of a young man named Christopher McCandless and his affair with a series of adventure. Soon after his graduation, he decides to donate his savings and burn his cash as he goes on his Great Alaskan Adventure.

4. The Motorcycle Diaries

The Motorcycle Diaries is another movie on this list which has been adapted from a true story. But what makes it really special is that the person on whose travel experiences the movie is based is known other than the legendary Che Guevara. The movie covers the phase in Che Guevara’s life when he travelled across South America on a motorbike along with his friend.

5. Wild

This 2014 movie is based on a novel of the same name. It is about a woman named Cheryl Strayed who buries her past when she is addicted to drugs and is coping with her mother's death. She starts on a backpacking trip along the Pacific Crest Trail. The character takes us on her rollercoaster ride throughout the movie.

6. Up

Pixar’s Up is my most favourite travel movie, ever. This animated movie reminds us that travelling is not about the destination, but about the journey. The movie covers everything from romance, adventure, travel, and comedy. Watch it to get some valuable life and travel lessons.
