Tim Berners-Lee created the information space in 1989, which is known as World Wide Web, or more popularly as Web. WWW is the abbreviated form of World Wide Web. The great mind behind the invention once said, “Suppose all the information stored on computers everywhere were linked. Suppose I could program my computer to create a space in which everything could be linked to everything”. This is the most appropriate and correct definition of the term, World Wide Web.

The great English scientist, Tim Berners-Lee visualized a process to link data through various computers. CERN, the largest laboratory of Physics in the entire world, was the venue from where it all started. Around the month of March 1989, Tim Berners-Lee proposed a plan and named it, “Information Management: A Proposal”. The imagination he had and proposed, spread throughout the world by 1991, which at the end, resulted in the World Wide Web.
World Wide Web is celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this year, and Google is celebrating it with a Google Doodle. On 12th March 2019, an event is being held which will definitely be organized by CERN. The event has been arranged not only by CERN but also with two other partners. They are, World Wide Web Foundation and World Wide Web Consortium, also known as W3C. The event is being dedicated to the celebration of the plan that Tim Berners-Lee proposed 30 years ago and also to inaugurate the numbers of celebrations throughout the world.
The most interesting part of the story goes when Tim Berners-Lee proposed his invention to his boss, he got a really basic reply and that was, “Vague but exciting”. The innovation changed the entire world and helped us to take a step forward and enter into the Age of Information. Now, you can find more than 2 billion websites if you search online. You can not live a life without using the World Wide Web, or more accurately, the Web. After the humongous innovation, World Wide Web’s CEO mentioned, “There are very few innovations that have truly changed everything”. According to him, “The Web is the most impactful innovation of our time”.
Tim Berners-Lee is the man behind the thought process and it’s only because of him alone that people are communicating with each other, worldwide and even every information through the Internet. His goal was to bring people from all over the world together and united, so as to stand against major issues everywhere. He wanted to bring the people closer, to fight for the problems the world has been facing. But, he is really disappointed that the web is repeatedly being “hijacked by crooks”. Hence, Tim Berners-Lee has decided on mending his creation to give it a better shape, a safe form and to fix the hinges properly. The way he imagined the entire plan of how to share information without any acknowledgement or permission became profound worldwide.
Hence, get ready to be a part of this massive event, and to watch the celebration which is going to be webcasted.
