‘Gully Boy’ one of the best films by Zoya Akhtar, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

Gully boy recites the story of a boy named Muraad whose origins are associated with the slums of Dharavi. The motto of this film is that one needs to change his or her reality to chase or match with their dreams, not the other way around.

The film is slightly based on the lives of rappers Naezy and DIVINE and their journey of becoming rap-stars from ordinary poor residents of the slums. Just as their situation was, the protagonist of this film too determines his mind that he will not let the restrictions around him affect his dreams.

But many parts of this film are also present there. This is also about the protagonist coming of age and getting to recognize his own true potential and dreams, and trying to get away from dilemmas and confusions. The film is all about recognizing Muraad and his own potential, and is shown in this film through rap and poetry. This cinema also is a love story. And the love is especially toward the city of Mumbai. The city, where the riches and rags co-exist in the same place peacefully and the city, where often dreams of even those who have nothing, come true.

The brilliant portrayal of the Protagonist Ranveer Singh in the film is the main driving force. It feels like he was matched with this part from his birth and he fulfilled this duty perfectly. He portrays euphoria, life, and breath fully and perfectly. The line in the film by the protagonist Muraad ‘Tere andar toofan hai’ is a specific hit of this film.

As many appraisals of Ranveer Singh can be done is less than enough as every performance that he has been giving for the last some years, has been perfect. Though the role of Alia Bhatt is small it is deeply impactful and brilliant and she did it perfectly. The actress brought outstanding heights to her role and acted her part with soul. The rapport between Ranveer Singh’s character and Alia Bhatt’s character is very deep, lovable and hot too. Siddhant Chaturvedi, who debuted in this film has made a splash in his first performance and deserves a standing honor. He has definitely given one of the best and eye-catching performances in this as far as great performances are concerned. Vijay Varma, Vijay Raaz, and Kalki Koechlin all did their roles as perfectly as they could be done. And in one sentence this film will not be a waste of money.

The music that has been done in this film is hit too. Not only this movie is inspired by the lives of those two rap-stars but it is inspired by their composed music too and they are present in this movie as well. The main reason behind the unique feeling one will get while watching this movie is the music components.
