Are you planning for backyard parties and poolside cocktail parties? Being the host, you mostly get busy assuring that every person in the party gets a drink. Hiring a bartender can be costly or mixing drinks yourself will have you occupied, leaving you no time to enjoy. So mix a big batch of cocktail beforehand for a stress-free party beverage.


1. Pina Colada Sangria

This big batch cocktail recipe will bring out the flavors of Pina Colada without actually preparing each cocktail at a time.

Begin with combining pineapple juice and white wine in a pitcher. Add coconut rum, pineapple, seltzer and maraschino cherries. Refrigerate this cocktail for an hour or two and garnish it with pineapple and cherries. Enjoy the Colada!

This drink is best served in the summers. The tangy flavor and little sweetness makes it more refreshing. To get more fancy with the drink, you can add pomegranate juice. Let's see how it's done.

Begin with cutting the limes into quarters and fuse them with honey, mint leaves and water. Now use a strainer to strain them in a pitcher and add more water and vodka. You can add in some slices of lime and mint leaves for extra punch. Best served with ice!

This one is a tequila-based drink. Also, the sweeter the watermelon, the better, as it balances the heat.

Take a quarter of watermelon, cut it into small pieces and put them in the freezer. Grind the remaining watermelon and strain it in a large bowl or pitcher. Now take ¼ cup of water and add sugar to it until dissolved. After the sugar is dissolved, add Scotch bonnet pepper halves and strain into the pitcher. Add frozen cubes of watermelon, some lime juice and tequila and you're good to go!


4. Vodka Grape Sparkler

If you are planning for late evening parties, you're going to drool over this cocktail. The richness of this drink will blow your mind! Let's see how it's done.

First you need to blend red seedless grapes with ½ cup of clover honey and ½ cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain this into the pitcher and add ¾ cup cold vodka. Refrigerate this mix for an hour or so then add a bottle of rose sparkling wine just before being served.


5. Blackberry Collins

You can replace blackberries with blueberries or any other berry that goes for you. This cocktail will taste good with any of these.

In a saucepan add ½ cup of water and bring it to boil. Then add a cup of sugar and 1½ cup of blackberries. Now let the liquid cook and keep stirring it occasionally until the berries get soft. Strain it into a pitcher after its cold. Make sure you press on the berries to extract the best amount of liquid. Add ¾ cup of lemon juice, 2 cups chilled dry gin and ice cubes. For garnishing, you can add lemon wheels, perfect for a cocktail!


These cocktails will taste better when shared with a group of good company. But you might just want to have it all to yourself!
