And we are not surprised, because Vietnam is truly one of the most stunning countries you will ever visit. It is just the kind of place you keep going back to. To be honest, we could count like a million reasons why Vietnam is gaining so much popularity and why you should immediately hop on a flight to Ho Chin Minh City. Don’t worry, we won’t list all of them; just a few to tell you exactly why you should head there too:
1. Breathtaking landscapes
Nothing can match the beauty of islands like Halong Bay, Cham Islands, and Phong Nha Ke Bang Caves. And though you may be able to access tons of different pictures of the country and its landscapes on the internet, one can truly experience such beauty only in person.
One of the oldest cultures in Southeast Asia that dates back to 2000 BC, Vietnam has had a complicated and long history starting from its native Dong Son culture that spanned thousands of years. Since then, the country since is largely influenced by Chinese and Indian cultures as well as a hint of French colonialism.

Delhi sure has some amazing street food but just you wait till you see what Vietnam’s street has to offer for food lovers. When roaming around the streets, stop at one of the food stalls on the road, grab a small plastic stool, and sit down. From pho noodle soup, spring rolls, banh mi and sticky rice to seafood, Vietnamese food is always tasty, fresh, and healthy. There’s always some good food around the corner in Vietnam.
4. Fresh fruits
While in Vietnam, one should not miss its tropical fruits. It’s a paradise for people who love watermelons, pineapples, banana, and mangoes. There are also some exotic fruits that are found only in Vietnam and are totally amazing! Fruit is sold here in abundance; from the sidewalk to the malls, you will always find fresh and cheap fruit all around you in Vietnam.
5. The people
Vietnam is the land of endless smiles. Friendly people are present in every corner of the country, from rural areas to urban cities. So, do not hesitate to make friends with these lovely people who would love to help you explore their wonderful culture.
Vietnam boasts of an excellent coffee culture and is the second largest coffee exporter in the world. Black coffee, coffee with coconut, coffee with condensed milk, coffee with yoghurt are only some of the unique blends one can try when in Vietnam.
While Thailand and Mauritius are popular beach destinations, tropical beaches of Vietnam are a completely novel experience. There’s also the bonus of Vietnam’s beaches being not as commercially popular as other global beach destinations; so, you can bask in the sun at peace.
