1. L’Opera

This is a slightly dainty bakery which is mostly all lit up, and resembles those classic European bakeries. From French influenced delicate desserts and colorful Macarons which are airy and light, to interesting Pastries, they’ve got it all.

One of the oldest bakeries in town, Wenger’s has been around since forever now. Every Delhiite has their own Wenger’s story, and memories attached to this vintage bakery. Established around the time of British Raj, it’s named after the couple who started it. The interiors and the desserts have a certain colonial charm to them. It’s best known for establishing Swiss confectionery in India.

Big Chill is without a doubt that comfort place which feels like home. You’ll find this place in literally every catalogue of places to eat in Delhi. Big Chill can do no wrong and their desserts are proof of that. This place is an experience in itself.

4. The Artful Baker

Tucked away in the lanes of Khan Market is this super cute bakery called The Artful Baker. Although this is a fairly new place, it’s surely giving the bigger names in the market a run for their money. With a wide variety of desserts to choose from, they have some really interesting options on their menu. This place is extremely cozy and vibrant which further adds to the experience.

Things to try: Almond Croissant, Raspberry Melange, Monte Cristo, Fresh fruit Gateau, Autumn leaf Cake, Any Cheesecake.

5. The Bombaykery

Bombaykery is slowly becoming the solution to every sweet craving that the people of Delhi and Gurgaon have. They first opened up shop in Gurgaon and eventually moved to the capital. Conceptualized in 2015, Bombaykery is the manifestation of collaborative efforts of two Bombay-ites and a Delhi-ite; all of whom share their affinity for food, eagerness to share an experience and zest for life. Bombakery offers a confluence of French baked goods and regional flavours through their wide range of sweet delicacies.

Things to try: Belgian chocolate with salted caramel Cake, Fruit Truffle Pudding, Nutella & Seasalt Cookies, Red velvet Cheesecake and Lemon Curd Cake.

6. Theobroma

This brownie specialist from Mumbai has taken over the capital too. Theobroma has gorgeous interiors in each outlet of theirs. Mostly dominated by white and a rather riveting shade of green, the bakery looks straight out of wonderland. Although brownies being their forte, they also have other interesting options to choose from. From Tarts to Macarons, to Cheesecakes and more, this place has got everything for your cravings.
